I'm looking for some sort of adaptor so I can use Campag Ergo levers on a road frame built for standard downtube shifters..........anyone know of such a device?

Sure I've seen something but can't find a set locally.

It would be some sort of outer cable stop thingy which bolts to the braze-ons originally intended for downtube shifters :?

:?:

is what ye are after...........worth checking yer LBS- I had a set I sold that came with a new shimano set of levers, they might have some surplus kicking around.........shouldn't really matter whether they're shimano, campagnolo, or other brand.

why would you want to move away from downtube shifters? They are dangerous to use and you need to use the force to find the right gear which makes them retro cool

Beat me to it Rob, I too have a buckshee set that came with a frame, but was superceded by the ones that came with the groupset.

But I'll not fight you over it since you are a Karate Killer- even though I am sure you use your powers for Good...

Thanks chappies :D

Have ergos on the Bianchi and have no intention of doing without them on a roadie. Ever.

Next question - Do I need another roadbike? (only have one at the moment)
