childrens retro bikes

Thanks for the quick response, will check out those e-bay bikes. looks good.

Guess you gets what you pay for.

striker rebiuld sounds great i loved that bike. Sister left it out overnight and it got nicked! A curse on your houses

I bought my 6 year old son a (non-retro) Specialized Hot Rock with 20 inch wheels & alloy frame. As kids bikes go it's not bad, but the front suspension is apalling. It's sprung for an overweight adult. I'd like to get hold of one of the old "sample" frames that builders used to make in 12" or 14".

...or that mini goat first flight was parading :).... though I doubt he'd be seen dead on a bike with lipstick kisses all over it !

For a 6 year old you could go down the retro BMX route - there is a raleigh miniBurner on ebay from the Leicester bike4all people, but they do need doing up - but that is part of the fun isn't it.

But there are usually some good mini burners too, expect to pay from 40 to 120 depending on condition and type.

this needs an awful lot of work though I would wait until a better one came up. .

My son has this...it cost £56 inc postage
