Cyclone with all the rare GT parts, but Aheadset on 91?
Yes Lars and To quote MOMBAT:
"Production begins on the Aheadset system by Chris King and Hatta. Once again, the Fletcher office is in charges of packaging and marketing of the product."

Remember the Cyclone was never sold as a complete bike, frame set only.
You are correct that GT didn't spec any bikes with it until 92. But it was out there on the race circuit.

As normal I left it late to look at the entries and then went with my gut feeling.

Big shout to the KHS, looks brilliant.

In the end i voted for stumpjumper1990's 1994 Empella Team. Big shouts to the Kili and the bonty though which would have got my alternative votes!

Coomber will be on here in a minute to drool over the Saracens.

As ever, a shortlist was compiled based on the principle that it had to be steel with a rigid fork, everything else is simply wrong.

does that mean no vote for my alloy framed fullsusser?!!

haha!

Other Bikes...

I keep looking back at the Mountain Goat and S'Bike....

If only the Yo Eddy didn't have mis-match tyres...

Now I am being sad!!!

Amazing month, so many worthy winners. Standards are definitely at an all time high.

Think mr_ship's Yeti will be hard to beat, still not sure about those wheels but its still an incredible bike and he'd be a worthy winner.

For me it was down to two:

The Park Pre, I just liked it for its honest build and it is rare to see mid range bikes like that it such good original condition.

Also liked the 'potts too that is a cracking bike, the mix of m900 and roller cams is great and the frame is so class. EDIT: ('it pulls off a top tube that slopes slightly the wrong way with consummate ease' - just straightened my monitor so I'll take that back - sorry)

I went for the park pre in the end. Splat ridden early 90s flouro at its best :D
