At the last Arundel loop there was talk of heading off to Bedgebury at some point...

With the impending Easter weekend followed by the another double Bank Holiday weekend seems like a opportunity.

Good points - easy to find, top-notch date & walnut cake from the cafe afterwards, it was bone dry last weekend (past trail conditions are not an indication of future trail conditions. One loop is abut 15km, so ideal for loop - cake - loop - more cake challenge, :)

Bad points - parking is £8 quid per car for the day, so some sharing might be in order. The bermy bit has seriously bad stutter bumps (read pot holes) on the entrance to the "fast" corners.

Date: Friday 29th
Time: 10:30 for faffing, 10:45 meet, 11:00 to start
Locations
Bedgebury: http://www.forestry.gov.uk/forestry/INFD-6N4EJX#find
Once there: Near the giant pine cone thing - its the yellow thing in square M6 http://www.bedgeburypinetum.org.uk/stor ... id%202.pdf (find the ice cream van at the edge of the main car-park and you'll see it)

My Calendar has 'Avoid telly on this day' next to April 29th. I don't recall seeing any tellies at Bedgebury - coincidence?

Therefore interested on 29th.

never done bedgebury so interested but would have to hitch a lift if anyone from the Worthing area was up for going as well.

Ill be able to make one of those dates. Traveling from guildford if anyone from round these parts needs a lift.

Sounds good for me - can probably stick a bike or two on the car from Brighton Area if anyone interested?

Hi, what sort of riding conditions are to be found at this place?

ls it a trail centre or a forest?

Much singletrack, hilly, rocky, rooty?

Depends what you are used to I guess. Single track mostly nothing that technical. Very forest and flows nicely. It is a trail centre but i think almost anyone would enjoy it. Not very rocky, few small jumps which you can avoid and one berm section that you can also avoid. Technicality is prob based around it being quite a meandering trail - there's always something interesting to do.

It's a very good place and the trail centre is very well kitted out. Showers, bike wash and good cafe.

P.S. The pic above is about right - few short steep climbs and drops but it's fun. The 100 foot drop into water filled with laser armed alligators is a bit of a wake up but just pedal fast you'll be fine ;)
