1997 Raleigh Torus Titanium.

This frame came from a member on here. It's history can be traced through every owner it's had from new on this site!

It's a 1997 Ralegh Torus Titanium.

I build it yesterday as a singlespeed build to see what the weight would be, 19.7lb.

Image

It was ony built as singlespeed to see what the weight was. I rode it down the road and back and then started putting gears on it.
Everything is complete now except for the grips, tyres and front mech (on it's way from the Netherlands).

Image

While I'm waiting for the front mech to arrive I've put a piece of inner tube over the BB shell to prevent damage from the chain.

New stuff on the spec.
Weight now 20.2lb, so near yet so far :(
Just realized how big those pictures are!
Hopefully I'm riding it for the first time tomorrow, at Llandegla!

That saddle angle is going to do some serious damage  Excellent weight saving skillz though!

I will update this sometime!
It's been inbetween builds for a long time. It currently has Trimnell forks and drop bars! Hopefully going back to straight bars soon(?) though. Also one of the XTR STI units has stopped shifting :(
There are more red anodized parts waiting to go on now, maybe too much
