3rd Annual Retrobike Sherwood Pines Blast Thread - 5th June

For the last two years a select band of (relatively) local Retrobike afficianados have descended on the hallowed sands of Sherwood Pines to nail tree lined single track on their narrow bared pride and joys...

2009's spring outing helped form the East Midlands Area Group ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbIG30Wwomg ) ( http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... highlight= ) and 2010 saw Lincolnshire and Yorkshire swell the ranks( http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104711 ).

For 2011 we would like to formally invite one and all to the informal spring/summer Sherwood Pines Blast.

Whilst we recogonise it's not a National Event, we have tried to slip it into a gap in the schedule between the Forest of Dean and Mountain Mayhem.

The proposed date is Sunday, the 5th of June and I would imagine that we will follow the format of a morning and afternoon ride.

If you are wondering what Sherwood Pines is like it is basically a hillier version of Thetford, slightly smaller in area but with a myriad of tight, tree lined single track and a man made 11 mile XC loop. Traditionally we have ridden off piste for most of the day, using the 'best bits' of the man made stuff.

It's been many years since I raced XC at the Pines.

I'm up for this again, was superb fun last time.
