I have often heard that folk moving from MTB's to road bikes find themselves setting up the road bike like their MTB and not necessarily getting along with things :?

I am looking into a frame only option at the moment for a road bike.

I currently ride a 19'' or 20'' (CtoT) MTB frame with a 22.5'' to 23.5'' top tube (CoC).

What should I be looking at road bike frame wise?

I am 6' 3'' ish with a 34'' ish leg measurement.

I know the advise is usually go and try one in your LBS but thats not an option at present.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers,

MArk

Depends on whether you are looking at current road bikes or an older frame with more traditional geometry.

For an older frame you are probably looking at 60cm ct-t as a starting point, but something like 62cm would probably be better depending on preference. Im 6'3 with approx same size inside leg as you and i can actually ride a 64cm (25") no probs.
