Cool look forward to the pics :)

Dave

Sorry no new pics of the frame but got the front and rear mech sorted. Also some nice spacers from superstar.

I cant believe how light the SLX range is  The rear mech is 15g heaver than the XT that was taken off but it is so robust. This stuff feels bomb proof.

So the slx is 15g heavier than the original mech ???? :( Whats the weight difference between the cranks ???

the SLX crank set and the BB combined are a lot lighter because the old BB is a sealed cartridge BB. The Hollow tech BB is very light. Will post a full weight breakdown on parts on completion.

Hello again

It has been a while since my last post i have saving to get my largest spend out of the way.

Got a pair of Mavic cross ride UB factory set. The claimed weight for the pair is 1700 grams. I got them to be a little over with skewers and rim tape. The flat spokes look very strange.

Also i did decide to go full SLX and finished off with the triggers.

Finally i have purchased a park home mechanic stand wich is a serious bit of kit.

Hello

for My next purchase i thought i would look at saddle and post.

I have had my eye the SDG range for a while now as i have one on my Commencal and the shape and size seems to suit me well. The I-FLY and I-Beam system seemed to suit this build and ticked all the boxes for me. (easy)
Or so i thought.

The seat post size is a 27.0.
Out of all companys out there only a handfull seem to stock/make this size anymore, And getting one in carbon was a nightmare.

Will i have the same problem with seat clamp size ?

Just purchased a Richey v comp post and a ragley cheeky saddle.

Post weight:277 grams.

saddle weight:219 grams.

Never bought any ragley products before, the seat looks wicked, and a very low overall weight.
