I'll set about collection originals for the 'upgraded' parts, but I have a Campagnolo Centaur gruppo in storage that would look rather nice on it!

501 throughout, 3-pice fork with sloping chromed crown, some real old-skool parts here and there. Looking forward to getting out into the woods once this bloody snow clears up a bit!

Cheers,
Gareth.

Raleigh Ozark on tour

Last summer, following full rebuild. Awesome load carrier! Bike is 90% original although I'm feeling it may be time for some upgrades.

I love these bikes and this is a great thread! I love all the people saying: Oh my god I want one!

Briefly owned an Ozark BITD when these were just out of date

Everyone who rode it loved it

I have a lugged 531 frame now, but some prat has 'upgraded' it to shock forks at some point

The tasteless, incompetent and insensitive shouldn't be allowed to have spanners

Also have a lugged 531 Orbit hybrid tourer thing triple crown forks and all that

- I think LGF's theory about the Ritchey is a good one, I'm sure one of the 'majors' shipped over a Ritchey... I'll have a little grub around and see what I can find

Of course there are plenty of it's the UK old chap quirks, I mean you cat possibly have seat stays welded to the sides of the area of the seat tube slot and binder! And you got have your braze ons! It rains ALL THE TIME

But Reynolds 531? Great stuff, good enough for a Manx Norton, Good enough for the Super Marine Spitfire, Thrust SSC? Yeah I'll take a bicycle made of that stuff
