1990 Mountain Goat Deluxe, with love

It doesn't appear to have ever been built. The paint was removed from the drop outs to keep it from chipping but there aren't any skewer marks on the drop outs. It does almost appear as if there had been a little bit of chain suck at one time but it could just be a mark on the tubing? Maybe a repaint?

I haven't thought much about a build kit yet. It will be tough to do since it will have to be all NOS or lightly used parts.

The tubing was ovalized by Phil Wood and used as the boom tube on tandems. The idea was vertical compliance more than anything. The early catalogs touted RAD (ride all day) geometry. It is heavy but it is very cool.

The seat binder works on the same principal as several models of stems such as Syncros.

I think that covers most of the questions? I'll check back when we start working on the build.

Tis absolutely beautiful.......do you wanna sell it

I think this one has found its final resting place. Kinda like the roach motel for bikes...." they check in but they don't check out!"
