The freewheel is a 6 speed 13-18 Dura Ace 7400

The teeth have a twisted appearance.

What chain would you recommend? New or NOS

I used to ride a sedis black back in the 6 speed days, I think Shimano called the twist tooth system uniglide and when paired with the matching chain it made the known "uniglide buzz" , I just built up a Merckx with a dura ace 7 speed freewheel and bought a cheap wipperman connex 800 (8 speed) chain online from Chain reaction Cycles. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5151

and it works great !

+1 for Wippermann chains, but I'd discard the cheapo version of the Connex link that comes with the lower-end models and substitute one that allows you to open it again and take the chain off the bike for cleaning etc. (these come with the 808 and upwards as standard but are also sold as a spare part). The cheaper connector stays put once in place and the pin design doesn't make for easy re-joining of Connex chains with a link tool.

agreed on the pathetic joining link it came with , that was a join once type so I just used a normal chain tool on a pin and flexed it sideways like the old days
