Kona - Why I reckon best frames ever.

I just spent the evening cleaning and tuning ready for a ride round Gisburn forest tomorrow and all the rubbing  and tweaking got me thinking how much I love my konas! I have ridden GT, Scott, Merlin Ti, Alpine Stars, etc etc (Steel, Alu, and Ti) but nothing I have ever ridden feels as "alive" as a steel rigid kona. I got back on the saddle of a Kilauea after 13 years and it felt as if I had only ridden yesterday! Other frames may feel more comfortable, plush, absorbant but they never feel as responsive or manouverable, climb as well or descend as confidently. Two frames I would really like to try are early 90's Hei Hei and a 96 Kilauea (Columbus Cyber -mega light).
I know there are a number of other kona afficionados on here, what are your thoughts? Is it just me? Who on here has something critical to say - I am really interested to hear....

Really? I've gone off mine. I've got four Hots for sale now.

£10 each or all four for £30.

I think they are a bit, well, gay, really. Thats it. All this geometry bobbins and "the way the feel". I couldn't give a tinkers cuss.

If anyone wants to swap a garage full of Kona bikes, frame, forks, rarities and memorabilia for a noce, say, Orange 224 of Specialised Stumpy FSR - you know, a propper bike - let me know.

Loosers. What was I thinking....
