Bought this of Ebay a few months ago for a princely sum of £16

Got home and gave it a bit of a clean up, added some new/old bits.

Levers
Thumbies
Canti's
Grips
Cables

Gave it a clean up and it looks like this

Well i had a spare hour today and it was dry out so took it for a blast, 1st one for the bike and also my 1st in a few years. Ended up looking like this

Have to say i hav'nt had so much fun in ages, And for a 16ish year old bike it rode spot on.
Not the blingiest bike in the world but hell for a grand total of £73 who can complain :cool:
 
well done son! must be a classic, doesn't have an e-frame or what dya call it. and hats off for using it for what it was made for :twisted:
 
Forgot to mention, 1st ride out and within the 1st 2 miles what did i do....

Great pictures. The second is the best. Thats how a mtb should look. No matter how much it cost.
£73 is a hell of a lot of money to me at the mo in fact it always has been.

Well done. Hope too meet up on a retro one day :D :D

Need to find a clump of dock leaves to fall into after the nettles ouch :(

Me too, One thing i did notice though which is a good thing, my last stint of biking was on an FSR and the Alpinestars just rides soooooo nuch better and is a lot more precise on the trails

I remembered that bit lastnight at work driving down the motorway my knee was stinging like a right mutha :oops: :LOL:
