Bad day for my forks...

Got out of the office today to notice that someone had been playing with my forks. Lockout was down and compression damper knob had been wound right out. Pain in the ass but wound it back in and set off for a meeting on the other side of site on it. Anyway every time the forks compressed the lock out reengaged. Strange I thought so I gave Tim a call about them, being Pace and all, and he suggested a few things but when I got back to my office I had another look to see this.

Stanchion appears to have escaped from the crown. Have to say I am as mad as hell and only hope it is fixable...

.

Exactly the same thing happened to a fella on last years European Singlespeed championship ride in the FoD.
They were also modern Pace forks, the only forks i've seen it happen too.

Well I ain't sure TBH, the fact that the lockout was down made me think that. Could have been the stanchion was pulling itself out all by itself but either way it is out and I am pissed off and back on my Marzocchis now. :( :( :x
