Redux Raleigh Castorama with Reynolds 653 frame

Looks a great bike to ride, I have a Raleigh Gran Sport frame in the shop being painted as a Record Ace so that I can build it up with similar kit, I have an original Record Ace which I dont want to spoil in daily use, I cant find any pics online of another to factory original spec, so will enjoy what to me has always been a beautiful bike for daily use with the comfort of an old Brooks saddle, the convenience of sti and a lovelly set of gold Roval Fusee wheels to compensate visually for losing the gold Esge mudguards, so cant wait to complete it, the Gran Sport was built for 700c wheels hence not using an RRA frame, like you I debated moving away from its original classic colour scheme, and there is no reason why on the next restoration it cant go back to original
