ATX DH bb spindle length

hi

would anyone happen to know what length spindle is required on the bottom bracket thats used on an '99 atx dh?

ive tried a 113mm, but..when the drive side crank arm is on the chain ring doesnt sit with the chain device properly.
not sure if its the crank arm or if a different crank arm would mean the chain ring would be closer to the frame?? (if you know what i mean?)
its only a few mm difference so i assume a 107mm would work with the crank i'm using,but i'd just like to know if there is actually a specific sized spindle.

the frames still got the original chain guide on it.

not sure if you can still buy them new,but there's allsorts of posts on different sites about atx owners using,modding,hacking other c.g's to fit their atx.
 
The original AC chain guide is very adjustable.

If your chainline is ok with the bottom bracket you've tried then I'd try spacing the chain guide to suit the chainring.
