Anyone keep note of the bike weights from Pitlochry :)

Im still very surprised that my Ti SS came in about 23lbs.Looking at MM's thread on his Scott and is claiming 22.26lbs

Not Fair

remember ti is still heavier than ali
and you had those old hope discs on it didn't you so theres another
2 or 3 lb over light cantis

and your bike will be about two or three sizes bigger.

the weights are on the aftermath somewhere.

I never thought of those things :(
Looks like im forever destined to own heavyweights

It's all about the wheels baby! I saved over a kilo over my initial build... In order of weight saved...

Tyres - Went from Panaracer Fire XC Pros to IRC Mythos (346g).
Tubes - Maxxis Fly Weights (285g).
Wheels - Switched to the Mav 231/XT M732/0 Hubs from my Stumpy (282g).
Skewers - Modern Ti cheapies from Superstar (123g).

Total = 1036g saved. Bang for buck? 15 quid each for both the inner tubes and the skewers.

Other cheap saves? If you're running a heavy duty single-speed chain - I saved 115g by popping on a generic KMC 9-speed instead.

And I could still save a bit of weight in the tyres - I see Maxxis do a set of 330g tyres (versus the 491g Mythos), a bit spendy though, but there's another 320g!
