FEB RIDE- SETTLE TO MALHAM - Aftermath

:( nightmare, get yourself a 4x4 next and knock people into next week next time

my legs are sore this morning.......damn weight weenie mukluk

Can't believe your bad luck! :(

If it's any consolation I think they're pretty sought after for spares & the value of scrap is through the roof again - sure you'll still get £2-300 for it, which is twice what I paid for mine!

Worst case scenario of course. Buying it back off the insurance company and getting it fixed on the cheap might actually leave you with a few quid left over ;)

hopefully wont be going through the insurance, hit a big sturdy merc and left only minor paint damage to plastic bumper, the lady is being lovely about it too, she has accepted responsibility not that that matters in a rear ender, and said it was the guy in front who slammed on for no reason and she was only saved by her ABS, greasy wet road coming out of manc meant i didnt have a chance, think it was the A465 or something a road to Lym, that joins some manc motorway with the M6, anyway tired achey but happy here, and still well worth it, the drive back with only one headlight, dodgy steering and waiting for the car to overheat with a flat battery in the mobile was fun too

on a plus note i did find a wallet loaded with cash and cards and i am currently on a spending spree, hmmmm brand new fox f80s £450 bargain i say

You found somebody else's wallet as well?! :? Two in one day, what are the chances!

A grand day out...my first in quite a while but thoroughly enjoyed it..especially the downhill to Settle Kamikaze and seeing Rich's Mukluks smoking brakes  39.3 mph, a very fine effort.

A special "thanks" to Martin aka Mr Crumb for spotting my cracked Syncros seatpost head clamp literally minutes after Brocklanders Syncros had completely disintegrated at Malham Tarn

A few pics before my battery crapped out.

Brocklanders...man in shorts!!!

Really enjoyed the ride, which was very different to the promotional pictures, I think another ride out in the summer may be in order to actually get to see the scenary and also have a go at breaking the land speed record on that down hill

Top pics folks, hard to think what we went through yesterday as I look out the window today, mild and damp, not a smidgen of snow anywhere!
