spokes info

hi ya... need a little advice on spokes. i have to change the front hub it's 32 hole i am thinking about changing the spokes to black it's a 26'' wheel. any advice as to what kind/make i should get the bike is what they call a all mountain so will be expected to take a few hits here and there. also how do i know how long they need to be. also.. do i have to change the nipples as well. thanks for any help.....

Got to the DT site, a wealth of info there. The different spokes are explained and its easy to make an informed choice. They also have a calculator for spoke lengths. You should get new nipples when you buy the spokes too. One thing I'll say though is that some builders will not use black because they say they are weaker, I have no idea if this is true or not.
