I looked at doing this last year but it was all very last minute so I've decided to plan ahead this time :D

Every August the Bankes Arms near Studland has a big beer festival. Its quite a big deal locally and they have an excellent selection of beers and ciders over the 4 days. They also have live music. Take a peek at the website.. http://www.bankesarmsbeerfestival.com/

What I'm thinking is a family friendly weekend meet. There's loads to keep the Mrs/Mr and kids interested in the area plus some fantastic cycling around The Purbecks to keep us lot amused!
Throw in an amazing beer festival for the Saturday night and I think we have the recipe for a good weekend :D

There are various options for accommodation in the area, ranging from high class hotels to local camping, but it gets booked up early for this weekend (and summer in general!) so the early bird really catches the worm here.
I'm more than willing to help out with finding people places to stay but I dont want to be trying to do this two weeks before so if you're interested then please let me know asap and I'll start making enquiries.

I'm sure plenty of my mates will be coming along and they'll probably all ride modern so please dont be put off if you haven't anything retro to ride. This is about riding and having a good laugh not bike snobbery ;)
However, if you do have retro to ride and arrive on something modern, expect to be chastised to within an inch of your life

Sounds great and we were near there last summer holiday for our family holiday and can vouch for the area  However it coincides with our family holiday this year which we are taking in Cornwall :(

Come on people...what more can you ask for of a weekend?? :D

Seriously though, if people are interested and will be needing somewhere to stay then they need to pipe up soon so I can make some enquiries ;)

I can see if my mates are interested in another weekend down there. Really enjoyed the last one. When together as a group we are probably not best described as family friendly.
