Saracen Aluminium Frame ID

tbh, I'd probably take it for a tenner but I'll go no further.. prefer early 90's

It is a Saracen Traverse. Late 90'2 early 2000 maybe.

Nothing amazing but a decent enough 7005 alu frame. Good hack bike. The blue is really nice in the flesh.
 
It's purported to be 6061 not 7005 . . . doesn't really make much of a difference though does it?
 
Sorry, think you are right. Think it might actually be 6061. I dont know the technicalities but I know 6061 is meant to be "better". Think it is lighter, certainly with the old GTs and most brands the lower range ones use 7005 and newer 6061. I think the traverse was around £400 so it'll be an ok frame, if a little uninspiring. Not a classic saracen i'm afraid, but still up for the job if you know what I mean.
 
If I can get it for a tenner I think it's worth a punt..

Grab some cheap bits as I go and see who it fits :LOL:
