Rockshox SIDS 2002, lazy rebound?

I bought a very tidy set of the above.
All seems well with them, but when compressed they are slow to return.
The rebound adjuster on the bottom of the right leg seems to have no effect.
Any ideas?

Not since i've had them

Looks straight forward.
Would it be beneficial to put a heavier weight oil in as i'm 14 stone?

if the oil is causing the rebound to be slow then it's too heavy

but i would assume they actually just need setting up and as it the spring that would make the rebound quicker ..... might just need some air in them

strip them, clean them, set them up as per recommended spec. for your weight. then adjust from there to suit you.

yeah i was kind of just having a muse

but as chicken said, if its too heavy it will make it slow

let us know how you get on with setting them up
