seen these for sale, thinking of putting them on a 50's frame I have, could I put a fixed cog on these? or would it have to be geared?

Nice set of strong wheels - 48 holes!
Single is possible, but possibly you have adjust the axle to the middle. But it will fit, I'm sure.
Very special !!!

got this today thinking they have that kind of old school airlite look to the hubs would look great with the frame.

just worried about the conversion/chainline.
Yes, I can imagine. Because of the vertical drop outs.

as luck would have it I have a campagnolo valentino rear mech I could use as a tensioner?

Shimano Singlespeed Freewheel

This is a screw on freewheel for traditional threaded hubs, ideal to convert an older road wheel with multi-speed freewheel to a singlespeed. Also perfect for use with modern threaded singlespeed hubs for road, off-road or BMX. Not suitable for splined cassette hubs.

Usual reliable Shimano quality in high strength chro-moly steel. Available in 16, 17 or 18 teeth and suitable for 3/32" or 1/8" chains.

and a crank with a 3/32 chain ring and have it single speed, rather than fixed, I dont plan on skid stopping anyway lol

Or you could use a dedicated chain tensioner if you want it 'fixie', but it won't look as vintage as that deraileur.
