Full M900 XTR vs M730 + shiny bits

XTR Here too.. Most is easy to source, STI's are the hard part, along with casette and chain, But you can buy new ones of these ;)
 
M730 cranks were still in the lineup in 1993, which is RC200 times.

I am currently going through the same dilemma for my 93 Lotus build. M900 is what I would like but good stuff goes for so much these days. Even M730 seems to be going up in price.

On your Pace though, I like the M730/5 sort of idea, then obeying the laws of pace, adding a M'burn crankset.

RC200 came out in late 1992. M900 was available for the 92 model year and i saw some in my LBS in january 92.
 
I prefer a bike with a mix of components, it shows individuality and a discernment you just don't get if you stick to slavishly bolting on a whole groupset of whatever.
 
XTR mechs and brakes mixed with XT M732 thumbies and some nice brake levers (Ritchey logics?), bling hubs and a reasonably sturdy chainset (TNT or the likes)?
