I'm certainly not suggesting that it's not a fantastic bike, and I didn't mean to single it out :)

still not sure on this as there's a great selection of bikes from my fave era to choose from... but I really love the cool Fat and Kuwahara, two bikes i'd want to own from this little lot. Then there's the Stumpjumper that keeps catching my eye!... still not sure

You've hurt my poor bike's feelings :p

I think it is interesting how much splatter/neon are considered synonymous with 80s mtbs. My recollection is that was 1 or 2 years at most. It is like saying E-stays are the classic 80s bike.

The majority of my collection is from the 80s but nearly all are subtle bikes, typically one or two natural colors. Even my most whacked out 80s paint scheme (gecko with splatter and smoke) is monochrome.

I voted for the Tufftrax. Reminds me of humble beginnings of the mountain bike beginnings. I know it wont appeal to loads because it lacks the perceived wow factor of some ofthe higher end bikes from bitd but for me its understated beauty makes it worthy of a vote.

Only two votes including mine...guessing the other one was from Coomber :D

mt tam for me - I'd love that bike.

Dr S's stumpy was a very close second - superb work on the resto there and that Kona is also stunning. Also like the two green brit bikes a lot too.

:D

I'd like to own the Roberts, ride the Fat and I'd like the Claud Butler to win.

al. :D

Very nice the kona, groove, palisades, and cunningham. But the gold epoch are the 90", the geometry of these bicycles are very ... awfull in general. There are some exceptions

How is the geo terrible? I haven't heard this before.

A bit before my interest in bikes started, but I really like GoldenEraMTB's 1988 Fat Chance Wicked, so that got my vote!
