Just 'won' a new old stock Ibis Alibi frame from eBay (£95) :D - now the fun part, to spec it out!

What are the 'rules' to this game - total period or homage?

Your guidance would be appreciated!

Neil

you can do whatever you want. not sure there are any real guidelines. my personal favorite is the 'restomod' where you retain the original feel and style, but enhance the ride in some areas with newer technology.

Nice score dude. What year is the Alibi, were they not later frames.

How to build it? The world is your oyster! You can go for fully pimped out with ringle and pauls everthing. Fully functioanl with M900 or M950 XTR or somewhere in between. The choice depends on you, what your going to use it for and the depth of your pockets

I can't believe you got that so cheap. I paid a shed load for my Hakkalugi from the same guy, and his latter frames have all gone for bargain prices, it's just they've all been considerably undersized for me.

Alibi

I'm told it's a '97 edition in red.

Have the opportunity to pick a titanium stem and bar too....

If you didn't want the bar I'd probably buy it off you :D
