I remember drooling over this bike, I still keep an eye out for one, but as each one was made to order I doubt there are many about :(

Shimano(?) disc brakes are pictured in Watson and Gray's Penguin Book of the Bicycle, 1978. From memory, they thought their advantages were outweighed by the need to reinforce the frame to take the strain. Like U-Brakes under the chainstays....

Twas a CATS... rear wishbone etc... just a later one without the disk tab. Probably built with Deddacciai..

Admittedly the paint job was not quite as wild as some of the Lloyds!
