I remember that issue. Dawes were playing the joker in the pack game because Peugeot were winning everything. I think Mike had styled his 'tach in honour of Kevin Costner in American Flyers!!

Well there's an indication of how good they used to be; Cannondale and Specialized mentioned in the same breath as Saracen.
