Probably the first major MTB article to appear in the UK. Written by Richard Grant, who visited Fairfax in 1977 and returned to England with a klunker built for him by Gary Fisher.

The bike in the photos is certainly the first Ritchey to arrive in the UK.

Wow. It's amazing to see and read about the start of our sport. I like how the guy said that the clunker will eventually be more popular than the drop handlebar 10 speed. Awesome find, and thanks for posting!!
