So uh...do people lose their chit if something's not all original or up to snuff etc? I'm not too fussed if so, but forewarned means I can bring some defensive measures: the odd bickerton to throw at the maddening crowds and the like. ;-)

My collection is a bit haphazard. Some I'm fussy with and some I'm not, yanno how it is. I was thinking of coming along but more interested in the seeing other's rides and deffo the jumble aspect. With over 100 bikes in the collection, I'm always on the hunt for stuffs
.

Hi,

As long as it's pre '95 and is not a pile of junk, anything is welcome. Clean and tidy is always nice as is something a little unusual or rare. The whole idea for me of the line up is to show as big a variety of mountain bikes to tell as whole a story as possible.

The only people to lose their sh*t about other peoples bikes are the ones you would want to lose their sh*t in the first place.

I'm sure you have something suitable in you 100 bike collection.

See you there.

We'll see. Two jobs and two children during summer holidays ...

Mind, what I have amongst my bikes that would qualify as MTB And pre '95 are probably pedestrian, (hoho), compared to some of the lovelies you guys are listing for shows. I'll have to pin down a couple to their years and plan ahead. :D

And I know just what you mean about the chit-losers. 8)

You'll make it, just plead and beg!

Well if you don't have anything, build something.

Job done, you're welcome... see you there.

I've replied to Steve [themountie] by email, but just to confirm and avoid any disappointment, the cut-off for ICONOCLASSIC has always been, and will always remain, upto and including 1995 model year.

Cheers,
Tom.

If I can grab a lift I'll be there so well have to see,

not sure how many I could bring but I still have the usual suspects, Roberts snow leopard, Proflex RF1, Browning, overburys, Kestrel MXZ......

I also have enough in parts and frames to throw together a serotta proflex, Dave Yates diabolo, frontiera, Dave hinde disc (could be on the cusp) and an Orange clockwork.

Out of interest is there any camping allowed onsite?, here at York cycle rally last week they had loadsa camping on the racecourse.

Hi Lee [and others]:

There's no camping allowed on the racecourse unfortunately, but there is a caravan site where a few folks have stayed for previous shows.

You need to be a Caravan Club member, and it's caravans / camper vans only - no camping.

Cheers,
Tom.
