have been experimenting with a process called vinyl wrapping. its quite popular in the modded car scene at the mo and involves wrapping cars in vinyl sheeting to change the colour of a car cheaply and not permenantly.

have done a couple of wheels recently, using insulation tape, and i think the effect is quite good.

its perfect for those builds when you have the rims that you want but cant afford to change them to the colour that would suit the build better.

heres a rim i did this morning. whole process took 20 minutes :D

Looks good.

Be interesting to see it after a month or so of winter use and washing, as to how well the edges stay down.

just been for a muddy ride and all's good. spose its the same as stickers on a frame really...

the beauty of it is if it get knackered its no biggy to replace :D took 20 minutes to do the whole wheel, so times not too bad.

severed head wise, having to make cut backs at the mo. not so many willing volunteers since we aren't in a recession anymore
