You are only only allowed 1 album but you are allowed a shortlist.

I would have:

Ozric Tentacles - 'There is Nothing'

Or:

Jean Michel Jarre - 'Oxygene'

I can listen to either of these albums a thousand times and not get bored.

ooh, good thread. Mmm, One of:

Radiohead, OK Computer
Muse, Showbiz

There are a few Greatest Hits That I don't think should be allowed.

Short list:

Pink Floyd, Dark side of the moon
Stone Roses, Stone Roses
Led Zep, II
Bowie, Ziggy
Fleetwood Mac, Rumours

Today, I think I'd pick Bowie.

Ooh, not sure.

Possibly Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Or a good recording of Bernstein's West Side Story.

No. It would have to be Dvorak's Symphony Number 9 - the New World Symphony.

I do know that for my "luxury" item I'd ask for a Meccano Number 10 set. All those models to make to while away the days.

Blimey! that's a big ask!!

Instead of spending painful hours thinking,I gave myself a few minutes and my CD collection. This is the top 6 result,in no particular order....

Placebo, Without you I am nothing

Billy Bragg/Wilco, Mermaid Ave Vol. l

Radiohead, Hail to the thief

Alison Krauss/Union Station live

Stone Roses, Stone Roses

Johnny Cash, American Vol. lV ( the man comes around)

the living end's self titled album

shortlist - a bootleg live stiff little fingers album called hanx and frank turner - sleep is for the week (sic)
