Anybody used the A34 or M4 today?

Has anybody used the M4 between Swansea and Newbury or the A34 between Newbury and Winchester today?
I'm supposed to be driving to Southampton for a funeral but i'm not fancying it very much :shock:

If duty gets the better of you - I'm in Reading and have not heard any nightmare stories about those routes. Main highways are fairly clear.

If you really don't want to go - we've loads of snow and the roads are covered, essential journies only.

M4 was clear (and empty) yesterday, as was the A34 around Newbury. TBH the problem isn't main trunk routes, its once you get off these onto lesser A roads which will be slow, and sideroads / estates which havn't been gritted at all.
