I've just bitten the bullet and bought some Shimano AM40's. Got fed up with my (very) old Nike basketball boots. The grip with my flats is awesome but with the sale on in Merlin and the reviews they've had, I thought, 'Why not?' and have treated myself.
I had the MP66's when I tried to use spd's the last time and although the fit was excellent for me I still couldn't get on with the spuds (knee issues).
So now I've got the all new singing and dancing shoes for flats. They may be bright but some mud will sort that out :lol:


And as you can change the stiffness of the sole with inserts, these should be a damn good shoe, hopefully.
