Your list seems a touch out of date. All of the following won at least one medal in Beijing:

Sir Chris Hoy - Gold - Team Sprint, Keirin, Sprint
Jamie Staff - Gold - Team Sprint
Jason Kenny - Gold - Team Sprint, Silver - Sprint
Chris Newton - Bronze - Points Race
Steven Burke - Bronze - Individual Pursuit
Bradley Wiggins - Gold - Individual Pursuit, Team Pursuit
Ed Clancy - Gold - Team Pursuit
Geriant Thomas - Gold - Team Pursuit
Paul Manning - Gold - Team Pursuit
Ross Edgar - Silver - Keirin
Victoria Pendleton - Gold - Sprint
Rebecca Romero - Gold - Individual Pursuit
Wendy Houvenaghel - Silver - Individual Pursuit
Nicole Cooke - Gold - Road Race
Emma Pooley - Silver - Time Trial

Mark Cavendish is also a former World Champion in the Madison, TdF Green Jersey wearer and record breaking stage winner.

Rob Hayles, again World Champion in the Madison with Cav.

There are loads more if I could really be bothered to think about it.

Steve Peat should be there

competeing riders don't seem to be eligible. I can guess why but it would be conjecture.

Nice to see Pat Adams in there. The guy who basically re-invented the way people 'race' mountain bikes. I am very pleased that he was nominated and was accepted in view of the initial list which was over a 100 I think. Not many MTB'ers (if any) on the selection panel. He's dead chuffed.

Steve Peat has been voted as the Yorkshire cyclist of the year to get the C A Rhodes Trophy.

Funnily, before I scrolled down to your post, I was thinking "why is Patrick Adams there and not, say, Joey McLuaghlin or Adrian Timmis?".
