So versatile, so jummy, so cheap!

My favourite recipe?

Dice squash and place in oven tin with lots of garlic (and then a bit more...and then some), fresh sage, lots of olive oil and a dash of black pepper.
Bake for about 30 until soft, in the meantime toast a big handful of pinenuts and boil some water for the pasta of your choice.
When its all cooked...pasta on plate, top with squash and pine nuts, generous sprinkling a Parmesan and dribble with your finest olive oil.
Perfect :D

nasty things. From the devils garden  But your recipe sounds good

We planted some of these, and other squash and pumpkins, in the veg patch, for the first time this year. Not much happened for a couple of months.....

..... so we planted some more!
We have a whole winter's supply, and then some!

We don't generally do sauce from jars, but butternut squash with some chickpeas in the Sharwoods yellow thai curry sauce is absolutely divine.

They curry very well. Take the effort to dry roast the spices whole and then grind. Try a coconut milk based sauce.
