...had never heard of Retrobike

I felt like a right geek/ nerd trying to explain. They seem to be 'sell sell sell' rather than actually having any knowledge of anything 'sold sold sold'

even the shop with the re-issue Stumpjumper for £899

I did my best.

which ones did you go into? the cycle shed? sidwell st cycles or mark partridge??

The Bike Shed, on Fore St... they've got a reissue Stumpjumper in there... It's the one I use most and I've deffo had a conversation with a member of staff who knew a bit if retro stuff.
