Long shot I know, but I also know some of you are in to your cars (and old ones)

So anyone know of an Austin Healey 3000 that needs total renovation going ?

Not for me, but for my father-in-law. (as I couldn't even afford the pre renovation price )

Bullet holes are optional...

I got the details for one at the recent gathering in Warwick (where the Le Mans department used to be based) - I'll try and dig it out for you tomorrow...

Cheers,
BB.

He has practical classics and is wanting one of these as is getting twitchy fingers, since unexpectedly selling both his recent builds (yet another e-type and a MG J2, I was quite surprised he sold the J2 though)

I've sent him the links and the one where it says two for sale..
Well sent my mother-in-law the links as he has trouble with a digital TV box let alone a computer.

You could try M.P.H classics in Blockley (cotswolds) they specialise in restoring them and used to have stock? :?

Years ago family friend spent 40k + having one restored which they quoted "more perfect than when left the factory" he had it about two weeks before filling it with diesal and trying to drive it!!!

Look stateside for a resto project. They have less holes in them! Easy enough to convert from LHD and the exchange rate is not too bad again.

Good Luck

Si

Have a look in Octane magazine too... I love the Series 2s, in two tone blue and cream, just need £30k odd for a good one dammit!

I think he is but will pass it on, he's had a few from there before I think an e-type and an XK140. I think all his bullet hole ones came from there  . He's not averse to swaping drive sides and done it a few times before, just depends what he fancies.
