Bolt nut thing

Hi I'm new to this site and buying a gt chucker mountain bike off my friend but it has a nut missing so only has one pedal. I'm going up there tonight i will take a photo and post it on here i need to know the name of it and if anyone has one for sale or know were i can get one

I think pictures will explain this one as pedals just screw on to the crank arm.

It could be the bolt that screws in to the bottom bracket that keeps the crank arm on.

Pedal = thing your feet rest one
Crank Arm = the part with big rings on, and the other side of course.
Bottom Bracket = bit that goes through the frame that the pedals and crank arm rotate on.
