Lake Tahoe Flume Ride

Hey guys and girls, On Saturday August 22 I went to Lake Tahoe, California, the Jewel of the Sierras, to ride the Flume Trail with my friend Megan. Tahoe is at 6200' in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, surrounded by 10-12 thousand foot peaks. At the 8200' level above the Northeast shore is a small Alpine Lake called Marlette Lake. From this lake in the 1800's they drew water through a Flume pipe to take to the desert in Nevada down below to the East. There is a trail cut out of the rock that follows the Flume pipe's route for about 4.5 miles with great views of Tahoe 2000' below. One of my all-time favorite rides, I try to do it every year. Here's some pics. Pat

Stunning stuff, I've been to Squaw Valley boarding and would love to bike there.
