i thought some of that stuff was banned because it wasn't considered to be "off the shelf". seem to remember being told that they made bar stem combo's for the track team that were extremely light but cost about 12 grand each and they broke the "not allowed to use prototype stuff" rule. the argument was that it was an unfair advantage.
