Can anyone recommend a home insurance company that gives good bike cover without costing an arm and a leg for the privilege ?
I've tried a quote from the British Cycling recommended one but they won't let me cover enough in either value or quantity of bikes

Im with the co-op
I've got a £1000 on any bike i have ,lost[ ] stolen or damaged be it inside the house or outside it
cant remember what it costs its inclusive in the policy
Policy costs £90/annum -£12000 total house contents coverage

The co-op is about the cheapest ive ever seen
They also paid out £800 2 weeks after i took the policy out and it didnt affect my premiums. [bike got nicked while i was on it  ]

hi, i pay mine through the household insurance as a "listed" item with britannia. think its around £11 per month but my bike is covered for £3600 replacement value, even its outside. happy days. i've always found that specialist bike cover plans from evans and such are a tad pricey.
safe trails

M&S premium cover (I think) has upto £4k of unspecified item cover, highly rated by lots of bikers.
