E-Rockit Electric Bike on BBC Website

I bet the rider doesn't have zero emissions

IMHP electric bikes are pointless

It was just on the BBC tv news

Looks the ruddy business!! bit like a cross between a lotus bike and a super moto

£20k!!!!!!!

Not this week I wont .

Gc

Looks great for a flat city, but i have a feeling it will be useless on any half decent incline as it won't have the torque :?
I may be completely wrong though, if anyone has a tecky link i'll like a gander.

in french/ German and some other language only. Probably because as soon as it released here it'll be banned under the nanny state HSE as it has too many pointy bits or its the wrong colour.

Oh and it'll be limited to 28mph and hi viz tabards only

ah so there are batteries! I thought it was using some clever gearing and clutches and flywheels to move... it's a 12hp dc motor! No wonder it shifts! The peddeling is just a gimick to make you thhink you are doing something  it's just like using an accelerator but you have to put some effort in. Still looks fun!
3 hours to recharge the batteries....and the range is only 60-80km! very enviromentally freindly, using electricty produced in a coal fired power station!

This German one is registered as a motorbike with plates and lights etc, so you can imagine as you say LGF what happens when they come here, 28mph would be the max :( and probably behind a red motorbike with yellow flashing hazard lights.

It won't be legal in this country then (UK) as an electric bike can't go faster than 15mph.
