XTR M960 chainset. Help! Want bigger ring! ooer..

I need a bigger ring...

My outer ring is too small - I want a bigger one.

Any suggestions? Prefer off the shelf, but if needs be...

I think its 22/32/44 as standard. I want a 46 tooth outer as I spin out regularly in top when I am commuting or on the flat on fireroads etc.

Have an XTR 11-32 rear, so my rear is sorted - just need my bigger ring...

Any suggestions? I checked the usual suspects - middleburn, blackburn etc..
 
change your chainset ;)

Using any other sizes with the M960 goes against the point of why it's like that..

Though I did just go through all the CRC one's and all are 44 tooth as you're finding. SJS don't have one either.

yer I know... I checked all the usual manufacturers - including the online uk shops too..

Hoping our US bros may post a reply..
 
Specialites T.A. makes suitable rings as does Boone, but the latter ones are super expensive titanium rings.

I was thinking of doing the same with my XTR 970 but looks like will have a mare finding bigger rings :x
 
Blackspire make replacement rings for the M960 aswell, dunno if they make none standard sizes though...

M970 is a doddle to fit different chainrings - they use a bog standard 4-bolt 104 BCD
