Hard drive recovery

For a Mac. Any one know of a cheep/free hard drive recovery software. Have wiped an old hard drive and now need to recover it.
Tried one. Worked but then wanted £100 to recover

I use FileSalvage from SubRosaSoft. It's not free but works great. It's a bootable DVD so you can restore even if you can't boot anymore. I might be able to sort you out an iso image if you send me a PM

Edit: Just saw the bit about Mac, Not sure if they do a Mac version.

Have a look at:

Used a few times & they do a version for flash cards, in case you over write a camera card or a memory stick....

Fairly good IMO but can take a while esp if via a USB cable to hard drive enclosure...

guys are ace, but a little quirky. . don't expect CRC type service. . .
I think recovery runs at £30 IIRC.
