As some of you may know I have been trying to tidy up my garden after it has been used as a dump by previous owners for probably over 50 years

Anyway, amongs the crap I found this vintage car number plate with rear light! The glass seems intact, any ideas what car this would have come from?

Thats a Butlers rear light circa 1935-1945 and was fitted to many British cars of the era. I'm afraid you won't be able to narrow it down unless you find any more of it.

Thanks Si, i knew you'd have the answer ;)

Havn't found anymore car bits apart from pure rusted rubbish, but have found a few bike bits, it's slowly adding up to a full bike

restoration project of the year if they're in the same condition as the number plate

 I'll have to find the internal geared hub i found and post a pic of it

so far i've found, pedals, saddles, hub, rear mech and a few other bits, but the chrome work onthe mech is pretty much like new, shows the quality of old parts.
