I'm trying in my own little way to get fitter for Mayhem. I nipped over to Cannock on Sunday and did 2 back to back laps of the Long Dog, and both funnily enough were 46 minutes. I could have gone a little quicker, but not much.

So, what's a decent lap time for the dog ( the long one... I will keep saying it was the long one :) )

I await "you lazy fat bugger" comments and tales of 23 minute laps :)

Cheers!

I've done back to back 34 mins each on rigid singlespeed, if that's any gauge

I'm happy to be 3n% slower than you considering the speed you rode past me at the wobble on your SS!

Was that the Long route?

I'm going out early tomorrow to do a couple of hours as I'm working at home, then heading back to Cannock for a mayhem team ride on Sun.

Oh and I was on a 27 speed fully suspended beast!

I'd like to be sub 40 mins over 3 consecutive laps - that's my goal.

To be honest an FS bike round there will probably slow you down

Agreed, but the rest of my bikes are in bits bar Jen's Boardman which has a bloody uncomfortable women's saddle.

I really like riding it though  / awaits forum kick

yes - turn left instead of right at the top of the hill? On reflection it may have been 38 mins (getting confused with my commute!)
