Is my TFT monitor fecked?

It just switches itself on and off (repeatedly) without displaying anything. I read somewhere it might be a capacitor problem (common fault with Dell screens)?

Anything I can do as non-techie to fix?

usually no. a workshop might be able but after labour charges, cheaper to buy a new s/h one.
