Today´s ride (video)

Tried experimenting with my digi cam today to see how well it records at speed, but also to show some of the local trails in action instead of a still photo. This is the first attempt and I'm still rotating images and pasting them together, so a little more to come. I will try to do my favourite trail this week (plenty of tight single track) if anybody enjoys these at all. They are only 5 minute segments, as that's the max allowed on youtube if you aren't a "director", I believe.

PS I left the audio as is, so enjoy the Chris King soundtrack and sorry for the occasional sqeaky cantis. I'm riding a 1992 Explosif.

Thats cool !! Amazing just how much steering input you put in riding

That's exactly what me and my friend said, we couldn't believe how many adjustments you make in the steering all the time. It'll look nice with a suspension fork too, I think...but started off with the rigid for here

like that. good quality too, we took some vids a couple of years ago when phobile moans started having the video option, they were good but not as sharp as this. what kit you using?

It's an Olympus Stylus 770 SW digital cam (shock and water proof) duct taped to a water bottle cage. Simple, but surprisingly effective. The images are really sharp on the cam and the movie maker, but youtube and windows media player tend to make them a bit less sharp unfortunately. We thought of playing and facing it to the rear tyre. Could be fun for picture in picture. Anyway, look forward to seeing how the smaller single track video turns out later this week. This is a really sweet trail, but you lose a little of the technical sections on camera.
