I had bought some items off Fenton before he went to ground first time and It took me quite a few days and a lot of chasing around to finally get him to reply and indeed send the items,

I saw he was on the forums quite a few times whilst this was going on , and he was just ignoring my PMs , I had paid him a fair bit of money for items and by this time a couple of people had said they were having problems

Obviously alarm bells were ringing and I thought I was going to have to get this sorted out via some contacts.. ;)

But I have to say he did sort the items out and they were as described, feel sorry for all you folks who are having current problems with him,.. :(

I and most others try normally try to get items out as quick as we can, but sometimes work/family etc, can delay things... And it has been said, just a PM to let you know whats going on is all it takes..

Fenton is not a newbie on here , really, really bad form !!!

I don't use any other forums , don't need too , everything I want is here :) , but were in a very trusting environment and sometimes people take advantage of this.

I have a select few people I will deal with on here, and I know to be honest and trustworthy , sometimes not reliable    but I know I am going to get the item and they always let me know whats going on... ;) :):)

Again I think full details should be exchanged and verified, and these to be held by the moderators and tighter selling rules on new members should be imposed :)

I really hope you guys get this sorted out... Its a horrible feeling , thinking that you have been ripped off...I hope you hav'nt ... money is so hard to come by nowdays, and sometimes its not even the monetary value that is the issue, if its an item that you need to finish a build etc, its so frustrating.

Fenton I hope you read this and you sort these guys out..

Is there a procedure for blacklisting sellers so that they can't post on the For Sale forum?

I know there's the feedback thread but it sounds like something more enforceable is needed, sadly.

What a shame - contrast this sad tale with the post of a couple of months ago where a guy in Italy, new to the forum, had bought a bike from a forum member in Denmark. The buyer was extolling the virtues of Retrobike as a forum of trustworthy members brought together by a common enthusiasm!

Yes, there is if you look at the top of the For Sale forum.

I need to speak to Fenton first though before we go this far.

I have just been shafted by a camera company who are telling me they can't refund what they owe me for two weeks.

....so a sale of the stuff I really don't want to sell is my current only option...
